An Lac Festival
Time: October 15th (The 19th day of the ninth lunar month)Place: Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province.
Characteristics: Vegetarian meal, truncated cone of sticky rice, fruits, votive paper items, sacrifices – the offering ceremony lasts for three days.
Am Pagoda Festival
Time: September 28th (The 2nd day of the ninth lunar month).
Place: VuTay Commune, Kien Xuong District, Thai Binh Province
Objects of worship: Nguyen Uy and his mother, King An Duong Vuong, Mai Cong Phuc.
Characteristics: Procession from Mau Temple to communal house (dancing anf beating the Ngu Lien drum). The rite of procession is held during the day; incense and flower offering is held at night. Traditional folk games: Chinese chess, wresting, cock fighting, duck catching, and boat racing.
Bac Le Temple Festival
Time: October 16th (the 20th day of the ninth lunar month)
Place: Tan Thanh coomune, Huu Lung District, Lang Son Province
Objects of worship: Ba Chua Thuong Ngan (goddess of mountain), Co (girls) Cau (boys)
Characteristics: Procession of Co Bo Bac Le from Keng Temple to Bac Le Temple (Co Bo goes to serve the mother Thuong Ngan), len dong (go into a trance), hau bong (séance or go into a trance and act a medium).
Thang Village Festival
Time: October 3rd ( The 7th day of the ninth lunar month).
Location: Thang Communal House, Duc Thang Commune, Hiep Hoa District, Bac Giang Province.
Objects of worship: Khong Minh Khong (the bonze of Ly Dynasty) - the ancestor of forge and Duong Tu Minh (a general of Ly Dynasty).
Activities: Sacrifices-offering ceremony and displaying forge instruments, contest of running to vie for flags, vying for ball and giving a feast to the troops in the middle of communal house's yard.
